Despre mine

About me

My name is Andreea Stroe and I am a clinical psychologist and a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist with additional training in psychosexology and hypnotherapy.

I am writing these lines with two clients in mind who made significant progress today. I feel a deep sense of peace and fulfillment - I am happy and privileged to play such a role in their journey. For me, psychotherapy is much more than a profession; it is the opportunity through which I offer those who step foot into my office the same sense of liberation and growth that I have received in my own therapeutic journey.

If you are reading these lines, you might not be facing the best moments of your life. Therefore, I want you to know that you don't have to carry all your burdens on your own. I can be by your side on your journey towards something better.

Black butterfly — symbol of personal transformation that starts from suffering and moves towards integration

Behind the role of the therapist stands a human beingimperfect in all the ways I have always longed to be. I love the person I've become, the one I have been patiently building, piece by piece, over the years.

My hope for those who choose to work with me is that they too will one day be able to look at themselves - just as I do now - with pride and contentment, while contemplating the transformation they have undergone.

I have chosen the parts of myself  worth keeping - including the dark and painful ones, knowing full well that the most spectacular water lilies grow from the muddiest of waters.

The fragments I have shaped and reintegrated within myself now allow me to understand you and support you with empathy, gentleness, and compassion - and to bring light into your darkness.

There is a crack in everything,

That's how the light gets in.

(in the words of Leonard Cohen, who saw each one of his creations as a triumph over depression)
